Southern Delaware’s Latino Community

Latinos are the fastest growing population in America. In Sussex County, the Latino community has grown significantly over the past 10 years from 20,542 in 2016 to 29,438 in 2026, an increase of 43%! In Georgetown – the county seat – Latinos comprise 50% of the population. The number of Latinos is also growing quickly in many other small towns in southern DE, including Milford, which has seen an 88% increase over the past 10 years.

38% Our next generation is right behind us with 38% of the students at Indian River School District, 30% at Seaford, 28% at Woodbridge, and 27% at Sussex Tech and 25% at Milford High Schools. These kids will go to college, get jobs, start businesses, make money, invest in their communities, and most importantly, THEY WILL VOTE!
