La Plaza Delaware

is partnered with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) and the Delaware Hispanic Commission (DHC) to begin a world-class leadership program to cultivate Latino leaders.

HACE has guided Latino leadership in 36 states for 40 years. Delaware joins HACE as the 37th state in its mission to expand opportunities for ambitious Latinos.

Delaware participants will join an international network of Latino leaders across the country to build professional connections. Delaware’s emerging leaders will build a Latino power base that elevates influence, voice and vision in small business, corporate, nonprofits and government.

This 8-week program is available to aspiring leaders statewide. It helps participants to evolve into leadership roles in their workplace and their communities. It includes the following features:

  • Provides action learning experience to transform high-potential Latino professionals into high-performing leaders

  • Develops participants’ skills to promote results for themselves and their organizations

  • Addresses unique cultural values and challenges while developing participants’ leadership vision through their values and beliefs

  • Enhances participants’ assertive communication and teaches them to strategically manage their time effectively

The Emerging Latino Leaders Program

The Emerging Latino Leaders Program will nurture promising Latino professionals into leaders, by developing skills that deliver results for them and the organizations they serve. The program will address unique cultural values and challenges. Participants will develop their leadership vision, practice assertive communication and master time management.

Requirements

  • At least five years of work experience

  • Working knowledge of basic business/ organizational management
